Floating Lido

Moored between Woolwich Ferry South and the Arsenal it is the most stunning outdoor swimming experience in London with views to the city and across the Thames Estuary. For a unique summer holiday at home in London, catch the Thames Clipper and embark on a scenic journey past Tower Bridge, Greenwich and the Thames Barrier to Woolwich Arsenal and wander along the embankment to the Woolwich Reach Floating Lido. It’s made from converted barges and provides a swimming and paddling pool together with plenty of deck space served by rows of beach huts with changing rooms, showers and café.
From November to March the platforms and pools are transformed into a winter wonderland with a market, ice skating rinks and fairy lights, creating a festive atmosphere at the river’s edge.
