Circus and bread are a dynamic collective of artists who plan, create and deliver one off events, united by a shared sense of the importance of conversation and communication in art. Bread and
circuses is an ancient phrase dating back to Roman times referring to appeasing the masses with food and entertainment as a distraction technique to maintain political power. The phrase now has ever growing significance in our current political climate. Circus and Bread turn this phrase around,
by offering food and entertainment (Art) they attempt to create a potential in community.
