Discover your inner chef in these 3-hour, hands-on workshops for young people, aged 11-16, taught by Michael Davies, a trained chef from the US. Learn skills for cooking real, fresh food from scratch that is so delicious (and so much fun), you’ll never guess that it’s healthy!

Learning to cook, and making good decisions about what to eat, are skills that will serve you (and your lucky friends and family) for life. This workshop, taught by an ex-chef and food stylist from New York City, emphasises using all of your senses, and your own style, to create healthy and delicious food from scratch.

Skills learned and practiced:
* Knife skills – cut, slice and chop like a professional
* Styling your plate with forms, colours, and design
* Analysing flavours and the art of seasoning
* Balancing your plate and your nutrition
* Baking and bread-making
* Good kitchen organisation and hygiene

Please Note:
Workshop attendees must be aged between 11 and 16 years old and have parental consent to attend the course. Learners will prepare a variety of recipes (with vegan options), and share as a group meal.
